CRAIG WEISSE - PORCHES OF THE PAST ART EXHIBIT
We welcome a new summer exhibit by Craig Weisse from August 12th to December 8th. Craig's artwork emits a bold, edgy, impressionist aura. His new "Porches" series was inspired from the beautiful porches on Mackinac Island. The new paintings are created using a technique called "gouache." Gouache, when applied, adds a stronger, layered body to the paintings. Craig lives in Leelanau County near the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. He loves being surrounded by nature, living in the woods, and traveling. He has sporadically over the past 30 years taken many art classes at Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Glen Arbor Art Association, and with Melanie Parke, a local Leelanau artist/instructor. Locally known artist, Susan Wilson, drove him to paint more and better. FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program
